is it a good idea to apply for TRV too early?

Hi,

I'm planning to apply TRV for my parents. Since there is so much delay in processing, I don't think visa will be approved soon. Hence, just wanted to know, Is it a good idea to apply for TRV now and put the travel date of 2022? or should I put the earlier travel date?

You can apply now and have travel for next year.
