I have opened a GIC account with CIBC and made a payment, but the address in my bank is listed as 'Ghansarpur PO Ganday Wali, Sialkot, Pakistan,' while on my instruction sheet for the payment, the agent has written the address as 'Village Ghansarpur PO Box Ganday Wali, Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan.' The status is currently showing 'In Progress.' Is there any issue with this? Can anyone guide me?

Why are you even getting a GIC? Contact the bank and tell them

I dont know if its going to be a problem but why not just email the bank and tell them to correct it?

I'm facing the same issue; my address on the bank account is my home address, but on the instruction sheet, it's my work address. Even though I've tried to edit it several times, the issue still persists. Please keep posted about the solution. Thanks.

It's definitely not required, but isn't GIC the most reliable and verifiable proof of funds? And even saves you from 4-6 months of maintaining an account balance? Plus, for Pakistani students, it eliminates the need to monitor the exchange rate, which fluctuates abruptly. Please share your opinion.
