Is ECA needed for both Primary applicant and Spouse?

Hi,

My husband is the Primary applicant and we have applied under CEC on Jan 2nd, 2015. But we didn't an ITA. However we have not yet done our ECA.

Now that we are planning to go for ECA, can anyone quickly please suggest that ECA need to be done for both Primary applicant and Spouse to boost up score?

But not sure if the draw happened for CEC category ???

Do you mean January 2015 or January 2014?

If you mean January 2015 then your application is going to be returned to you unprocessed as of January 2015, you must apply under Express Entry.

Assuming you mean you applied under Express Entry, and you qualify under CEC... ECA is not strictly required, but yes, if you both do the ECA you would get points for both...

The draw happened for the people with the highest scores (those with LMIAs and PNP nominations), regardless of which program.
