is citizenship certificate mailed by regular mail or registered letter?

Just ordinary mail... without tracking number... I am sure everyone would be happy to pay additional $s if IRCC could post it as registered mail... but for some reason it is not done... maybe some logistic issue... not sure.
For something that is commemorative and used just once, you'll think they'll just send you an electronic copy and save themselves the headaches of printing and mailing hundreds of thousands of certificates yearly
Would anyone be happy accepting digital certificates from their university on graduation? After all they are also used once.
Mailing certificates has started only during Covid. As they move back to in person ceremonies, they will be given on the spot. I feel there are occasions when some pomp and ceremony is great optics and this is one of them.
Well, it depends on the person but IRCC has done the e-certificate pilot soon it'll all be online anyways. Look at some threads of people waiting to travel for personal emergencies and their certificates are either delayed or lost in the mail. I'm sure they'll prefer to just print the certificate from the IRCC website. I don't see a difference between printing the certificate and getting it from IRCC.
I am happy to get online certificates/degrees.
Less hassle to save them and presrve them.
Just print only when needed! Easily verifiable as well. Online is better.
I'm sure many of us would be more than happy with a digital copy! It'll not only save trees and the environment but also spare applicants the stress of waiting to receive the physical copy, which in turn delays the passport application.
Absolutely! e-certificates will avoid the delays/backlogs/loss/damage that physical documents sometimes go through.
