Birth certificate is not part of checklist for primary applicant and spouse.
It is only required for the children.

I already submitted my application in express entry and it never asks for birth certificate.

it is not specifically for EE but it is checklist for FSW PR
once you get ITA i believe you would need to provide all of these

I did not have a birth certificate. So was suggested by my attorney to submit school leaving certificate where the DOB appears. Also passport is an additional supporting document. And there are some other documents specific to my case where the DOB is mentioned. If multiple documents show same DOB it should work better than just one birth certificate confirming the DOB. Hopefully they will not reject my application because I did not submit BC.

Friends as we know now that it is not mandatory to submit a birth certificate for spouse and the principal applicant but still to be in safe hands if they ask I just wanted to know few details.I got my birth certificate done from India and it was done on the basis of my school leaving certificate. So there is a mistake of two alphabets for my name and my fathers .In this case what can be done,can I get an affidavit done?

We did our application through immigration consultant and she did require it from both me and my husband (main applicant).
