So I'm trying to apply to extend my stay online - because I'm applying Outland out of BC under spousal sponsorship with my Canadian husband.

I've filled out all the applications, uploaded my documents and when I go to e-sign the document, it tells me that my name that I'm signing isn't matching the name on my document.

I've spell checked a dozen times, deleted the document, refilled it out and tried again and it continues to say the same thing. I've tried calling Immigration Canada and they are swamped with calls regarding the Philippines so I'm not getting connected to an actual human being.

My visit status expires on January 6th. I can't get in touch with anyone and I'm getting worried. . . is anyone else experiencing this/or knows what to do to fix it?

Thanks so much!

I had similar problems trying to extend my wife's visitor's visa using the online process, so I just printed the forms out and sent them by courier. Apparently the process is a little longer if you submit the application by mail or courier but you have implied status once they receive the application so there's no real difference between applying online and doing it by courier. My suggestion is to save yourself the frustration of trying to do it online and submit it via Fedex or UPS.
