I wanted to know what will the correct marital status if I have a conjugal partner? I wanted to sponsor my conjugal partner later on but I am not sure how to declare in my PR application since only common law is in the list of marital status. Thanks

We need a bit more information. Are you applying for PR right now through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry?

If the answer to the above question is yes, then you do not include a conjugal partner in your application. Only common law and spouses can be included.

What are your reasons for being conjugal rather than common law / married?

Yes I am applying through EE at this time.

We are on a same sex relationship and we cannot marry in the Philippines because it is not recognised. Also, we are currently both working in the middle east but we live in different cities because of our workplace so we cannot live together. We only see each other every weekends and special occasions.

I wanted to sponsor him later on once I become a PR in canada but I am not sure whether it is possible if I will not declare him in my application.

Yes. You should be able to sponsor him later under these circumstances. Before you sponsor him he will need to apply for a TRV. If the TRV is approved then you can marry in Canada and sponsor after that.

So first I dont need to declare him as common law partner in my EE application. correct?
Is TRV a visitors visa? What if the TRV got denied?

He isn't your common-law partner, so you can't declare him as such.

Yes, a TRV is a visitor visa. If refused, it shows an immigration barrier supporting conjugal.
