Hi there,

I submitted a case-specific enquiry using IRCC's web form earlier today but received no acknowledgement so far. I am concerned that this is a bit atypical of IRCC. I was expecting some form of acknowledgement that they have received my request and would process it in so-many number of days.

My question is: is there an acknowledgement email at all from IRCC web form or not? Should I submit the request again?

They do send acknowledgement from donotreply email. Sometimes it takes a day or two to get it.

The exact same thing happened with me yesterday. Apparently they no longer send acknowledgement emails?

I actually had the same issue..i submitted some forms via webform. I waited a few days, then called the call centre. The representative read some notes on my file which were suggesting that the doc were received.

Do you remember how long you waited before you called?

I just wanted to know, did you eventually get any email from them, or does the phone call remain the only confirmation you ever got?

I had submitted last Saturday and received automated email confirmation in few minutes.
 
I see the same. The new CSE form doesn't send donotreply acknowledge email like the old form did

What date did you send your CSE in on?

For reference, I submitted a CSE on July 14. I have not yet received any response, automated or otherwise.

Yeah, I think based on your reply, I will send in a new CSE. I just hope sending in the same document twice isn't a problem!

That's not what the tweet is saying.

We are looking for a generic auto gen email that acknowledge CSE is sent. Then CIC human agent will react to your CSE within 30 days like the tweet says. And CIC may or may not reply, depending if its needed. If you are just submitting updated forms, they might not reply at all.

Okay, I just resubmitted my CSE just now, and I got an automatically generated reply within seconds of submitting it.

When I was submitting it, I noted that I had submitted this same CSE before, but that I had not received any intimation whether or not it was accepted, not even an automatically generated reply, and that, owing to the importance of the documents I was submitting, I was resubmitting them to be sure. I also added a screenshot of the 'Success!' screen I got when I submitted my CSE last week, to ensure that there was no doubt that I had submitted a CSE when I said I had.

Basically, if you have not received an automatically generated reply, chances are it might not have gone through, and the backend systems may have been down. I would personally recommend a resubmission.
