IRCC verification of bank statements of account

Does IRCC send a copy of your bank account statement to bank to verify or they just ask if you own that account?
They do ask about the balance on the day you printed the statement of account

they mostly believe on the bank stamp and signature. Bah if VO feels like verifying he will den contact the bank and verify if the account provided is true

Does the VO send a copy of statement you provided to the bank?

don't think anything funny. couple of people got procedural fairness letter regarding their bank statements since they though vo don't verify them.

VO have a portal where they verify some documents like GIC / IELTS / Letter of acceptance/ Criminality, Passports and ETC.
