From my expereince I believe Vancouver office update result in client's file and when the update is made to the file, processing officer can see an update.

Thank you. I just called the IRCC call centre and luckily I was able to speak to an agent who confirmed the receipt of my FP. Thanks again.

Yay ! Congratulations!!! Awesome. You should get that in writing from Vancouver shortly.

Good luck with next steps. Watch out for DM in the next few days. From DM to Oath is another 4 to 6 weeks wait but DM is a big first step.

Spoke to the call centre this morning, they said another 30 days while they “seek clarification” on this new fingerprint request email. They confirmed fingerprints were received so most likely this email was sent in error. Still does not sound well for our timelines and oath. So frustrating and absolutely disappointing turn of events! I also sent an email to the Vancouver office seeking clarification. Sigh!

Definitely disappointing! But at least you are so close! I've been waiting for a while - no FP request, no test invite, everything is fine and done, just the waiting time now (said by the call center agents). From the sound of it, the second FP email is most likely an error. I'm sure they'd clarify and you'll get your oath soon! Stay positive xo

Why would it backfire? It's in DM status...Just politely ask the interviewing officer when you should expect Oath now given your DM is 4 weeks (?) or so

I think you are into end of 4th week since DM (31 March DM? Right?) You may send email by tomorrow if you don't hear today...or to be on safe side follow up on Monday as you would be well beyond 4 week since DM.

Send a soft follow up email today - as it can take time for officer to check the status and get back to you. This will get you to know where are you in the queue, or put you in the queue for next Oath invites coming up.

Sure. Good luck!!! Middle of the week is the best time to follow up - as Monday is always crazy and Thursday, Friday things start to slow down.

I am really hoping, you are already on the next Oath invite list. In case not, hoping that your officer can set you up for the very next Oath invites are coming up. All the best. Do write back.

@Lex2019 : Congratulations on becoming Canadian today. I am sure you are relaxing and thinking ...Oh it looks like a dream (no more IRCC follow ups...).

Please write back about your experience, number of new Citizens in the ceremony and how long it took for you from start to end.

Actually, when you posted this I was writing the email. Just told her about my situation and asked her for any update at all. Hopefully she would reply.

To give you some hope:

I dont know if you guys recall my situation (required urgent travel for pregnancy complications). After taking in all your suggestions and deliberating I went ahead and emailed my officer in detail about my situation with all my medical reports attached. I got a very positive response and will post my story once I am done with the full process.
To give you some hope, all I can say is there is an Oath scheduled for 10th May, and my DM was end of March too .

My officer was extremely helpful and nice, during our interview too. If you had good feelers during your interview, I would say dont be nervous about emailing your officer to inquire, the worst is that they ask you to wait to be called..
