IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

3 months after DM? Man that’s quite a long time , so in my wife’s case it’s gonna be June ....

I don’t know how the latest spike in covid cases will impact the virtual oath process , it might be possible that they completely concentrate their effort in transforming to the online process and things will speed up from now on

I began to worry about the case surge as well. Today we saw almost 5k cases is very very concerning.

They are still working at home in most cases, and under-capacity for sure, I don't know how much this spike would impact their operations. In addition, there are still a considerable amount of people who got DM in early March who didn't get oath invites yet, I'm just thinking if it's slowed down once again. But what @adey786 said is reasonable, it's possible that they are currently devoting their attention on this week's ceremonies.

Man I missed the good ol' days when they give you oath invitations for the next day during your interview. If COVID didn't happen I would have been done with the process already :/

I believe Scarborough has racked up a sizable pool of Oath ready applicants and this pool is going to become a football field, and so on and so forth. The only comforting thing is that Scarborough is sending invites on FIFO method yet. Let's hope this continues.

I did speak with the agent yesterday first time after a month. The agent started conversation with a high pitch and was still trying to catch up her breath, so I increased mine and everything evened out.... The discussion was not helpful as I have been told to wait for local office to contact.....unless I hear in next 7 days, I am going to e-mail.

Someone gave interview (GTA) and was told to wait for 1 to 2 months for Oath. I am still trying to find out about processing office.

That sounds about right - 4 to 8 weeks. But it is definitely longer than 4 weeks at the moment.

Today, the person got put on hold like 4 times? The person said, may hear something in few days?!? Do they normally say that?

That's... interesting. I have no idea what is going on with their call centre. Last time the agent put me on hold for 25 mins for a status check and just hung up at the 25mins mark.

Another mid-March DM from Ottawa got oath invite as well. And there are quite a few received oath invitation from Vancouver.

That sucks. I find it rather bizarre that keeping one on hold multiple times and then at the end stated that should check your email and will receive something in next two weeks.

Next lot is on 19 and 20 April so probably they are lining applicants for these 2 ceremonies.

There's the 16th, 19th and 20th. I think they should be done scheduling with those by now. We could see a couple more today or tomorrow. I'm not aware of anything after that yet.

Maybe they have something in their system that they are not able to share? Or maybe it's just a generic response - it's hard to say.
