They have to directly verify the information provided.
If the university uploads the info on their websites, it is fast.
If they reply to the probing emails quickly, it is fast.

While I am not any assessing institute, it is supposedly their best way of work to ensure proper evaluation.

Just came to know that IQAS has all the stamps and signatures of a University in their records. They do not contact university for everyone. They may contact if they have a doubt of genuinity or difference in stamp and signatures.

I am not sure though. This information was forwarded to me by my friend who is working as police in BC province.

But in my case they contacted the university. As my relative works in the same univ, we came to know about it.

I don't think that might be the case with every one. Here in Pakistan, they have made it mandatory for every one to get the documents attested from HEC which is the central body for degree accreditation whereas, previously they used to accept university attestation too.

Now, instead of contacting the University, they can directly verify from HEC portal which in fact makes the process quite fast and hassle free.

Way to go Pakistan. At least they are more serious in this matter than us.

That's really interesting, thank you.
I really do hope they are not going to contact my university. Otherwise in my case I'll be waiting for final review for a veeeeery long time :) Universities in my country are really not sociable at all. They even refused to send my documents separately, so I highly doubt they'll be in a mood to answer IQAS queries.

Hi, i sent my sealed envelope through my universities in Pakistan, what should i do now please share your guidance ? My documents reached IQAS on 18 june 2019.
and can you kindly send me the link in IQAS website which show it's mandatory for Pakistanis to get HEC verification instead of their respective universities.

Your assessment will take a longer time now because when they will open your package after 3 months, they'll send you an ADR to send the HEC attested docs again. The best thing to do now is to email them and inquire about your issue and if they ask, get the docs attested from HEC and send them again in a sealed envelope. This will save your precious 3 months.

It is clearly written in their assessment guide which is available on their website.
