IP2 Stage Timeline Question

Dear Peers,

I have a question about the IP2 stage and what to expect.
  • I received AOR August 28th.
  • Medical passed September 13
  • Then my background check started to be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."
  • On September 20 I received a request for a birth certificate and IMM5406 form.
  • On September 22nd I submitted the needed documents
  • On September 27 my background check status changed to “Not Applicable.”
  • On September 28th around 4 pm, my status has changed to “We are processing your background check. We will contact you if we need further information’”

I suppose now that I am at the IP2 stage.

The question that worries me is that it has been only a month since my AOR, is it a good sign to have IP2 now or it is incredibly fast for this? If I am really in IP2, will it take them 5-10 days on average to come up with a decision?
Thank you.

It's normal, they are processing things fast, my timeline is close to yours :)

25 Aug - AOR
09 Sep - IP1
11 Sep - NA
22 Sep - IP2

hopefully both our PPRs shouldn't be too long now! :)

Thank you, my friend. Good luck to you. Hopefully, in the upcoming week, we would get it :)

Hi roger01,
First of all congratulations.
Did you do entire EE process by userself. I calculated my CRS score and getting 457 and ready to apply. But I'm not sure to complete the documentation myself or approach any consultancy to complete on my behalf.
Please suggest me the better one...

Hi. Thank you. I did all myself. I had a lawyer though, who helped me to gather documents correctly, but it was only 1-2 times I asked him for help. As for calculating points, sometimes calculator does not estimate everything in a very detailed way, once you start the CIC form for express entry, it will recalculate all your points once again and give you a result. Good luck!
