Hi Guys,

New to the forum, need your help, just received invitation and it says:

"Based on the information you provided us in your Express Entry profile, we are pleased to invite you to apply for
permanent residence under the Federal Skill Worker(FSW). "
:o

On my EE Profile, I am eligible for both CEC and FSW and applying under CEC is my preference as I did my undergrad in Canada

How should I proceed with this?

Thanks a lot guys!

CIC will always pick FSW over CEC if you qualify for both;
preference;
PNP
FSW
CEC

If you give your settlement funds as 0 and if you working or studying in Canada, you will qualify only under CEC.

If u need to apply under cec... Reject this ITA... Take off foreign work exp in from ur work history..... And add it in personal history after receiving ITA under cec

If you are eligible for both and want to be eligible only for CEC then you should reduce your funds so you will no longer be eligible for FSW and only receive a a ITA for CEC.

In this case just go ahead with FSW if you are nearing your work permit expiration if not, then reject and reduce your funds. Reject if you are absolutely sure and have a high enough score to get an ITA soon.

Thanks a lot guys!

Not everytime.... Some of the guys including my friend in the form are still eligible for fsw even though they kept funds to zero

Oh.. thats bizarre. I was qualified only under CEC till yesterday. I changed the funds to be safer yesterday. I got the invite today under FSW.

It's not our preference but their choice :)

If I were you I'd just accept the ITA, just could reject and hope for later ITA with CEC on subsequent draw but no guarantee. On the other hand of course CEC's are being processed much faster than FSW's. Up to you I guess depending on your circumstances

I personally think there is no reason to decline the invitation unless you want to be processed faster on your case.... :)
I was invited under fsw and now CEC. Required documents are very similar. As long as you have claimed points on your work experience and education, you have to prove it no matter what. Also, I heard you need to present your bank statement upon your landing as a fsw.
That's all I know and I hope it helps.
