Pardon my ignorance, but trying to understand the Express Entry process. I took the eligibility test and regarded eligible to apply for immigration to Canada.

So does that mean once I create the EE profile, my application will be put into the EE Pool at some point and followed by an ITA at some point?

Yes, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria once you create your profile it will be in the pool for a possible invitation.

That being said as we do not know your CRS score it is tough to say whether you have high/low chances of obtaining an ITA.

Thank you DelPiero07. I take it that I will get the CRS score once put into the pool. Is there any statistics out there that shows where one stands in the line/chance to get an ITA? Also, what CRS is considered good?

Sure but you can also use CRS tools that let you calculate your score before even creating a profile.

You can also google "express entry - rounds of invitations" to see whether your CRS is competitive in order to get an ITA.

Your official CRS score will be calculated then, yes. But there are various tools that will help you estimate your CRS score in advance -

You can see here the lowest CRS score for each round of ITAs. For the most recent draw, the minimum score was 446. This varies a little with each draw...

Thank you. Played around with the CRS tool test and see that if my wife and I ace the IELTS then we can get a CRS score of like 450. Looking at the CRS selection history chart I saw online looks like any score below 450 is not likely to get ITA, so looks like borderline situation. Is my thinking correct?

I would say anything above 435 is quite competitive and IMO sufficient to get an ITA this year.

Thank you again DelPiero07. You are a great help. Now i am getting a hang of how the CRS score is calculated and what is a competitive score.

Just another clarification on the draw process from the pool for ITA. The draw is solely based on the CRS score right? I mean let say someones ee profile just enters the pool and has a crs score of 441. In the next draw the cutoff threshold is 440, so the person can get ITA in the next very draw as his/her score was just above cut-off, so not much wait. As I said just wanted to clarify with an example. Thank you.
