Hi Guys,

Just want to check with regards to the invitation letter (as part of the requirement in TRV Canada) does it really have to be notarized?

what if you don't know anybody in Canada and you just want to visit their country?

thanks in advance

Nope. It doesn't HAVE to be notarized. In my case, I wrote an invitation letter for my wife and spouse TRVs are hard to come by so I got it notarized just to give it a tone of seriousness. So, in a nutshell, it is not required but it doesn't hurt to get it done.

IMO, letter of invitation is required when you tell CIC specifically that you are going to visit a family member. If you just need a TRV just for tourism, you won't attach an invitation letter. Instead you can attach proof of accommodation like hotel bookings and if you have booked any tours around the cities etc etc

Hi dotmatrix,

what invitation letter should contain. should it include any proof of income or something like that. I want to bring my aunty what will be procedure.is pcc required

Regards

Were you denied based on the letter of invitation? What were the reasons given by the VO in the refusal letter. I ask this because there are many reasons that you could be denied on. Family ties, travel history etc.
