Investments in India legal?

I am relocating to canada in jan 2020 permanently and hv canadian PR.

In India i frequently invest in mutual funds and stock market. Is it legal for me to continue investing in mutual funds and Stock market in India even though now I am a canadian PR? I use sharekhan as the broker.

Also, are there any tax repurcussions for the same?

The same applies if you invest in the Canadian mutual funds and stock market. It's legal to keep assets outside Canada.

Yes but you have to declare income gained from investments on your taxes.
