Invalid work permit

Hey I need advice and suggestions please.my work permit expired in oct.we submitted our application in June with the OWP when I called cic last week the lady told me that I will get my OWP when we get AIP.meanwhile am still working and were u work they haven't requested for the work permit.Am I safe????? And when does AIP come in???.Thanks

were you in status when they received your application? in my opinion you shouldn't be working..

Sounds like you are out of status when you applied for the PR, as you would have the OWP by now if you had status

Once you get AIP for the PR you are eligible for the OWP.
