Int'l student visa inquiry

Hello
I am an international student in canada but had to leave to hometown due to covid19. However my visa is expired but study permit is valid until 2022. I applied for visa renewal in August considering that it got expired on Feb. Up today no news from immigration. So what can I do? Can I enter Canada only with study permit?

You cant travel to canada without a visa if you require one. You also need essential reason to travel.

You should wait until you get your visa, I think you can also contact IRCC to check your process and ask for updates.

You won't even be allowed to board a flight.
