Job duties seems no issue, how much deep technically they can go.

They dont go deeply. Interview is not a big thing. They want to ensure everything about which they have concern.

To all those who attended their interviews, do you think it would be a problem if I don't have some of the original documents? I have copies only of some of the documents.

@badpusacat,

I too, dont have original for IELTS, Marksheet, Translations as I already sent those with my application. I dont think this could be problem.

BTW, this is TA's Hubby, I am leaving tomorrow night, Inshallah, will have my interview on the 29th. Wish me luck.

Cheers,

Sir

If originals have been submitted already to CIC , then it does not matter

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Here is how my interview went:

I arrived at 7:45, the office wasn't opened, but the security guards were there, they opened the office at 8 sharp and to my surprise, the VOs were already in there !.

I had my first shock when they didn't have my name on the list!!. I later found out they called me on the 29th, but the VO had my interview on the 30th!. That shook my a lot!.

Anyways, a family went in first, then a lady, then a pathan kid, and then myself.
The guy in with the family was grilled for over an hour and he even asked for water from his wife !.

In my case, The VO was a young brit with deep blue eyes that kind of X-rayed my through. I kept eye contact, got nervous for moments then recovered.

In my opinion, i didn't do that well but he passed me anyways.

Points to note: knock the door, then say Good morning. keep all your doucments ready but dont give hime anything unless he asks.
Because whenever you offer to show something, they will examine it which will prolong your interview.

He had concerns that why a Carpenter like myself had the education AND the 7.5 IELTS score, I explained that carpentry was my hobby which later became my profession so its nothing to do with my education.

He didn't know anything about carpentry, he was asking questions about my field and staring with those deep blue x-ray eyes. I maintained eye contact and answered. I told my self, Ok.. This guy just wanna check if I am lying.

Later on, I became more confident and started smiling and became more relaxed.

the questions were:
Are you are married man.
Where do you live
Do you know everyone at your job
what kind of work you do
what would you have done if you weren't on this job.
how many kids and what are the ages
why have you left that job
What will you do if you didn't get a job there?
I explained that I am willing to work part time while i upgrade my qualifications. My wife will also work part time.

Then he told me that he was satisfied and he is gonna let me through.

He then started explaining the process that you will get medicals within 3-4 weeks and that I should arrange a job before I left and advised that those people who go there without preparation are the ones that end up in trouble.

Finally, he asked where I plan to land. I told him Calgary.

He told me that Calgary is a beautiful place with blue skies and not too cold.

I even told him a joke while I was leaving and we both laughed.

In general, nice gentleman he was.

Good luck to everyone who has interview in upcoming days. May the force be with you.

Cheers,

TA's Hubby

Thanks alot, it is very informative..... your case seems similar to mine, as my NOC 7421 is Electrician NOC and definitely he might have concern how am I applying under this NOC and working as a Manager in GSM operator.... A small question, how deep he went in the NOC responsibilities, specially in carpentry NOC responsibilities.

Salam,

No, there weren't many technical questions.

He was basically asking generic questions like where is your office, how do you get there, how many people... judging my responses by scanning with those deep blue x-ray eyes.

Be confident and refresh all the information in your mind so your response is instantaneous.

Cheers,

TA's Hubby

I had the same experience as TAs Hubby.was very easy.
just be urself and confident.we had a conversation rather than question answers.
I got through as well
