NKALRA.......below is the post about his planing which Iqbal posted few days ago

Yes I booked my tickets for 10th of June. I will first land in Toronto Ontario. I will stay with my brother for few weeks. During this time I will open bank account and will apply for SIN (social security number) Inshallah. After that I will plan to leave for BC Inshallah

I shopped around for air-fares. These days PIA is the cheaper one. For adult its fare is 90k and for kids age b/w 2 to 12 is 70k.
Plus this is a direct flight so it will also save some time.

Hi to all,

Just want to ask, is interview is a part of procedure for all applicants? or it is only for some applicants who had an issue in their documents? in what scenario that applicants may go for possible interview?

It neither for all applicants.........nor visa office can conduct for all applicants.........Aha....there was no issue in my documents......even visa officer did not bother to check a single page of my file ...which he instructed me to bring ....So I was called .........and at the end only luckiest person are called for interview :P

To be honest not decided yet, very roughly within this year.

If we talk within this year mean .......if we miss September then we have to land with kids in sever winter ........and our visa would be valid till the end of Feb and that is end of winter as well..........

QUESTION:

For those who were interviewed, is it a standard that they give one month notice prior to the interview date?

Most of us was informed a month before.

My consultant has received this email from the VO. Has any one else received the same??

Thank you for your message. Your file has been reviewed by the immigration officer who has determined that an interview is required to assess your eligibility. We are unable to advise when this review will take place, however, please rest assured that we will contact you with further instructions as soon as the schedule is available.
We trust the above will be of assistance.

Sir

VO informs at least a month before , as Visa Officer needs to travel , and also provides reasonable time to an applicant to make necessary travelling arrangements etc

Stay Blessed

By the Grace of God, received my PPR2 today (within just 3 days of PPR1).
My VO is MCH. Until 5th june (when i suddenly received my remedicals), I had not even bothered about my immigration case for several months as my case was very old and super delayed.
I did medicals on 10th june which were submitted on 17th june.
He/She is processing my case superfast because I wrote him/her after remedical request that if I dont get visa within summer, i will not be able to move this year since my kids are in high school and I cannot move in middle of the year.

I have to say, canadians do have a generous heart. I guess thats why they have opened their doors to rest of the world.

God bless my soon-to-be new homeland :)
