Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I would be grateful for some comments/advice from someone who understands GCMS notes. I have 2 sets, the first generated on 23 December 2013 and the second set generated on 12 February 2014. I applied for the second set a bit too soon after the first, but did so because the first set revealed that very little work had been done on my application in the 7 months since my application was submitted. The second set reveals that no work has been carried out since the date of the first set. That worries me mainly because of the looming anniversary of my medical. According to both sets I have passed the eligibility test and the medical but there are zeros opposite everything else (criminality etc) which I interpret as meaning that those have not as yet been investigated. True or false? (That is question 1!) Anyway, what worries me most is the anniversary of the medical test, which I took, in Canada, on 18 April 2013. That date however does not appear anywhere in the notes. On page 8 of the notes under the heading 'Medical' there are successive entries which read 'type: Medical', status: 'passed' and 'validity date: 10th May 2014'. For the present I am interpreting that as meaning that the validity of the medical expires on 10 May 2014, which date means nothing to me. I am assuming however that there was a delay between the date of the medical and the date 10th May, possibly due to the DMP delaying sending in the results. Is that a reasonable assumption, and does it mean that the anniversary date I have to bear in mind is 10 May 2014? (which is question 2) We are still in early March '14 and there are therefore still 2 months to go before 10th May. I am minded however to send the VO a case specific inquiry drawing the VO's attention to what appears to be the anniversary date and inquiring whether it is intended to extend the validity of the medical. A good or a bad idea? (which is question 3).

Criminality - Check in Activities ( Should be with Status - Not Started, IN PROGRESS )
Meds - May, 2014 is correct, it's got nothing to do with MP - Meds validity are always 2-3 weeks after the date you take it - You need to enter Canada before that date OR the officer can extend OR as for Remeds ( all depends on the officer and if Criminality/Security is close to being done )
Security will always be blank

You can send case specific for status - they don't always reply and above things for meds etc looks in order so you don't need to bother about that

Many thanks User 828. I have looked under the heading 'Activity'. The only issues referred to there are sponsorship, medical and eligibility, all of which are referred to as passed. Criminality is referred to at page 8, with a zero alongside. presumably meaning that nothing has been done as yet? I cannot see any heading saying simply status. There is a heading 'application status' but nothing there about criminality. Anyway I am not worried about criminality, having led a blameless life so far! I am concerned only with the fact that they do not appear to be getting on with the job, thereby frustrating my plans, as to which when I have time I may set up another new topic.

Yes, the zero means nothing done for criminality yet. Are you above the stated processing times on the CIC website? If not, they likely won't reply. I know it is hard, but regardless of how long it takes, it shall come to an end eventually. The key is to take good care of yourself and maintain your relationship so it's all worth it at the end.

Many thanks for your reply. The stated processing times for London have not yet expired. I am not all that impatient but there are lots of things to do: selling my house in the UK, getting the house organized in BC, getting the timing right so that I do not have to fly at the height of the tourist season, getting a container organized for my belongings and mundane matters of that kind! It is just galling to discover that there is no progress at all at present with my application; but I bear in mind that there are others in a far worse position. I shall certainly look after myself and am very grateful for your very kind thoughts :D

I understand what you mean. When you are approved, you will be given a date you must 'land' by in order to become a permanent resident. This date is usually a year from your immigration medical exam. e.g. if you did medicals March 2, 2014 and were approved on Nov 5, 2014, you must land no later than March 2, 2015.

Some people land and leave immediately after. Then move once they have sorted out all their affairs in their previous dwelling place. :)

It's validity on the notes , not the exact date you take meds. So it's May 10, 2014 in OP's case. I know the rule reads 1 year from meds, many of us thought the same - but when we got COPR's , it was validity date of the GCMS notes, not the actual date, the meds were taken
