Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has been promoted or taken on a new role in the same company while their PR application was still in process?

There have been quite some changes in the company I work for and they directly influence my job. I am probably getting a promotion and change of job at the same time as I would be moving from just marketing to more of a marketing & business development position. I am worried that it will mess up my application as it would mean that my title, job description, salary and NOC code will change.

Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Would it be a big deal or does the officer mostly focus on my previous (one year full-time) work experience?

Also, I am curious... is changing jobs (new company) a big deal for the PR application once you have received the BOWP? Would a new job in a new company be assessed as well?

Any help is appreciated!

Your employment, unemployment, promotion, demotion, change of status quo, stay of status quo, etc. etc. after submitting your application has no impact on employment qualifications of that application.

Thanks thisisauser! Exactly the confirmation I was looking for.
