I needed to know after arrival in Canada (Vancouver or Toronto) what is the cheapest transport to go to other provinces/cities (like in Alberta - Calgary/Edmonton) etc.?

Is it by BUS/Train/Air? I wouldn't have much luggage with me, then what should be the cheapest vehicle to move around?????

if Bus - Which BUS?
if Train - Which Railway?
if Air - Which one is budget flight?

Train is the most expensive.

When I drive around, especially on freeway entrance, I have seen people with signs wanting ride to Calgary, etc. Perhaps this would be the cheapest? I did not stop and gave them a ride, though.

It's either car or air. Canada does not have good train connections like Europe. On top of that, trains are really costly.

Most probably bus would be cheapest if you book well in advance, greyhound run daily service from major cities including to the states.

You can try megabus also if you are planning toronto - Montreal

Air would be slightly expensive but if you are lucky then might get good deal on porters

Train for sure will be expensive but search on VIA.

You can try rent a car also, gas is really cheap now days and daily rental will cost you around 29-39 + insurance plus one way rental charges for small car.

You can decline insurance if you have credit card which cover rent a car insurance.

In ontario you can drive up to 3 months on your home county DL without any problem, for more than 3 months you need international driving permit IDP which lot of people say international driving license.

Link below for further info, you can google other province

https://www.ontario.ca/page/drive-ontario-visitors#section-1

Keep in mind that canada has LEFT hand drive car and most of Asia has RIGHT hand drive car so this might be bit tricky.
