Hi everyone! My mom visits me in Canada since Nov 2018. she has a Super Visa. She has a medical insurance thru GMS which refused to provide Covid coverage upon renewal. I’m looking for a private insurance company that covers Covid. The wording is so confusing in most insurance companies. We live in BC and according to official website “if you are in B.C. and would otherwise not be eligible for coverage under MSP, you will be provided provincially insured health care coverage for services related to suspected or confirmed cases of infection with COVID-19.” I called so many places to get clarification what they mean by “you’ll be provided a healthcare”, none of the official contact numbers have an answer for my question. So far I know that Covid testing and vaccination is free for everyone including visitors. One of the pharmacies suggested that the testing and vaccine will be free but any treatment will be billed to the Visitor. Has anyone heard anything about it?
