INSURANCE FOR NEWCOMERS IN MANITOBA

Hi Friends,

When does MANITOBA government provide or cover the newcomers on PR visa? Is it immediately or after sometime?
I know that Ontario provides insurance after 3 months & until then, you have to purchase insurance. Is it same for Manitoba or different?

Please guide me on this. I highly appreciate replies from bottom of my heart !!

When my husband moved from Ontario to Manitoba, he had to wait 3 months before he could get it.
Have you tried the government website to see if it is mentioned on there?

For newly landed pr, you get immediate insurance. But when moving to Manitoba from another province, you have to wait for 3 months.

New residents get immediately the Health coverage...

If you move from another province you can get medical attention,
but they will bill the province from where you moved...

In any case you are covered when moving to Manitoba.
