Hi,

I am Canadian citizen and my husband is on PR. We landed last week in Ontario.

OHIP does not cover for first 90 days. What if in this duration I got pregnant and I need to consult a gynaecologist? Which insurance might cover me for this issue? I called Bluecross but I don't think they cover for pregnancy.

Generally Insurance gets covered for accidents or emergencies. Please could someone advise me for this matter?

Thanks in advance.

.

Hi

You will need to pay for all regular medical expenses until you have OHIP.

Incorrect. The 3 month wait period applies to all.

I renew my Ohip card in may and I will get my new Ohip card in June 1

OP isn't asking about renewing her health card. She has to actually apply for OHIP again and is therefore is subject to the 3 month waiting period.
