Hi everyone,

I reviewed the eligibility for Ontario health card and it stated I need to be physically present in Canada for 153 days in a 12 month period and need to make my primary place of residence here in Ontario.

So if I live outside of Canada for a year and came back to live in Canada again, does that mean I already lost my health card? Can I re-apply for one?

Thanks :D

Yes - if you do this, you will lose your health care coverage. If you live outside of Canada for a year and then come back to Canada, you will have to live in Canada for three months before you can qualify and apply for OHIP again.
