Dear All,

I have submitted a PR application under CEC on 31 March 2014 for qualifying period from 02 Jan 2013 to 25 Mar 2014.
The letter of employment issued on 25 March 2014 confirms that I was a permanent full time employee; unfortunately, I badly broke my hand three days after I sent my application. The hospital medical report suggested that I didn't have to report to work until 07 Aug 2014, during that time, I was on employment insurance under sickness leave. My employer couldn't wait until I report back to work; as a result, I lost my job.

My questions are:
What are the employment official dates (start and end) for this job?
Since I lost my job, should I have informed CIC given that I'm currently unemployed?
I'm yet to receive Medical Request, will CIC ask for 2014 T4 & NOA given that I already included 2013 T4 & NOA in my application?

I ordered GCMS and would receive it in few days but I would appreciate an answer to these questions as it would prepare me in case CIC asks for additional documents.

Thanks

It depends on your VO Who is processing your file?
It might or not?it varies case to case..

1.Start date should be mentioned in your employment letter, VO might consider the date on employment letter as your end date.
2.You should inform CIC your current status, and provide ROE if applicable.
3.If you have T4 from 2014, you can provide to them, it won't hurt in my opinion.

Hi,
calm down. There's absolutely no issue with your case. You had broken your hand and lost the job after applying for the PR (you had more than 1 year experience). Your application is based on your past experience not on your future one. Some applicants also leave Canada and are still under process. So don't worry.
You can inform the CIC about your status though.

For your CEC application, the "end" date that will be used to calculate your eligibility is the date of your Letter of Employment.
Legally, you were employed until the date of your termination.
If for some reason you needed to re-apply for CEC, however, your last day of work (presumably the day you broke your hand) would be the end date for calculating your work experience.

Since I lost my job, should I have informed CIC given that I'm currently unemployed?
No need for CEC.

I'm yet to receive Medical Request, will CIC ask for 2014 T4 & NOA given that I already included 2013 T4 & NOA in my application?
They might. It depends on how much of your claimed experience is verified by the 2013 documents.
