I applied for for sponsoring my partner, him being here in Toronto with me, with a visitor record.
September 1st is the date I uploaded everything. He had his medical visit and biometrics.
I still din not get an approval email though, site says paperwork submitted (not approved, not rejected).
Now, today I got laid off, so I have no salary anymore, and we are both going back home for 3 months (until March 15). I will start looking for a remote job starting with Monday (I cannot and don't want to cancel the trip, my mom not good, I am not well either, having some tests there, as this Ontario health system really let me down). I will search for jobs, but I am over 50, and opportunities are not many.
Now, I suppose they did not start our file, I did not get anything from IMM saying it's approved.
Will they reject me because I am unemployed at the moment they look at the file? In september I was fine and dandy, now I am not? Should I call and present the situation and they will advise?
