Hello friends,

I have a genuine situation with my PRs.

My passwport and visa(post graduate work permit) will expire on July 2017 and I have no way to extendy passport further. If my girlfriend, whom I have been dating for almost 2 years, and I were to get married in 2016 October, would it be possible to carry on my status in Canada as implied status?

Will I be able to extend my work permit given that I submit the first application? (Evaluation of the sponsor, note that Ican not extend my passport unless 2 years of military service is fulfilled back home)

Thank you all for your help.

A valid passport is a requirement to have a work permit and to land as a PR. So unless you have a valid passport, you're going to run into problems.

Friend of mine apllied as CEC before EE. His passport was expired one year past his landing. Can you be more specific? Im guessinng from your post that it is still possible to land with expired passport as a inland applicant, as long as i didnt leave the country?

To the best of my knowledge it's not possible to land without a valid passport (even inland). You require a valid passport to both start and complete the process.
