Inland police certificate.. Help please..

As we all know, we need the police certificate from every country you have lived in for more than 6 months. Well, I already have the police certificate from my home country, but it expires at the end of the month. However I live in Canada and has not left the country which means that I could not have committed any crime there since I'm not there, and won't be there at the time when we send our application. So, do I still need to get another police certificate if this one expires before we sent our application ?

Read the new rules re police certs. From my understanding current country of residence needs to be within 6 months whereas other countries need to be from after the last time you were there.
