Hello,
My boyfriend(Canadian) and I(Korean) are trying to decide if I should file my application inland or outland.

Here's some information about us:
We are planning to apply for the common law sponsorship in February. We met about 5 years ago in Korea and we have been living together since Feb 2014 when I moved to Canada. I'm currently working in Canada with working holiday visa and I learned that my visa won't be able to be extended even though we apply open work permit with our PR application before my visa expires. (Is there any way that I can extend my visa? I LOVE my current job but they won't be able to sponsor my work visa)

So, we are trying to decide if we should file the application inland or outland. Both take SO long, but it seems like I will be able to work a little sooner if we do it inland since the first stage for inland is 13 months(as of oct 6/14) and the total outland process is 17 months(55 days for the step 1 + 15 months for the step 2). But outland process will give me freedom to travel or work in Korea during the process.
We will try to stay together in Canada either way since we did 3+ years of long distance already, but I think not being able to work over a year will be very tough for me.
We are pretty torn and don't know which one we should choose.
What are your suggestions?

100% apply OUTLAND through Manila office.

The times you see on CIC website for outland are NOT average times. They are more worst-case times. Actual apps for Manila office should be processed in less than 1 year. Many of the recent Korean applicants got through Manila office in around 10 months and they seem to be getting better.

Agreed. Apply outland. Korean applicants applying through Manila are getting much faster processing times these days.

Yup, Outland.

Are you planning on getting married soon? Otherwise you will have to wait until at least Feb 2015 to qualify as common-law.

Thanks a lot for great information guys!
so outland it is!

Yeah, we are going to apply in Feb 2015 when we complete 1 year of cohabitation.
