Hi Everyone,
Background:
Experience: 5 years (NOC 2171) in India
Age: 27
Education:
India: Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Applications
Canada: 1 year post graduation certificate (Ontario Graduate Certificate) Jan 2022 - Aug 2022
Current Status in Canada: Implied Status (awaiting my PGWP)
IELTS Expiry: 5 Jan 2023
IELTS Score: L-8.5, R-8.5, W-7 ,S-7
Current CRS Score: 490
I have multiple questions:
1. My IELTS is expiring in early January, my CRS score is 490, and last FSW draw held on Nov 09 2022 had CRS of 494 with 4750 invites. With about 6530 people sitting in the pool above 490 score, should I reappear for my IELTS exam?
I anticipate that my chances of getting an ITA are higher in December 07 2023 draw, if they continue with the draws post NOC change implementation on 16 Nov 2022. Should I reappear for IELTS or would my IELTS validity be good enough to get my file submitted and recieve my AOR if I keep my documents prepared for submission.
2. I am currently employed as a contractor (on T4), I have my offer letter with the pay and responsibilities mentioned by my Canadian employer, as the tenure is less than 1 year I am not eligible for CEC. As the employment is term based (1 year) full time, I am not eligible for the OINP.
Should I mention this work experience in the work experience section of my PR profile or should I mention it in Personal History once I receive the ITA?
3. If I do not mention my work experience in the work experience section of PR profile as I do not want to claim points for it, am I still eligible to be exempt from showing proof of funds as I am employed in Canada and residing in Canada?
4. Do I need a Canadian PCC? I have already gotten my PCC for India from BLS.
5. Do you guys think they would briefly pause the draws to accommodate the NOC changes?
