Hi All,
I am fellow 2015 Applicant.

Application Recieved: July 7, 2015
AOR: February 26, 2016
Medical Request: October 24, 2016
Request for Additional documents: November 24, 2016
SA: November 30, 2016
Add. Docs. Submitted: December 1, 2016
Receipt Notification: December 12, 2016

I was patiently awaiting a response for CIC until February begins. Couldn't wait any longer, called cic three times in the pass two weeks; the third agent told me that my application was transfer to Vancouver and they recieved it on February 14, 2017. That really sunk my heart, I was so deep in worry kingdom because I still haven't received a transfer notification.

I realize that this process will demolish everything inside of you, but don't let it. Try to live your life even though it seem impossible, breath even if you feel breathless. I learn that after many many many tears.

I don't know why they would transfer my application to Vancouver when I am in alberta. Anyone can shed any light on that.

Thank you

I don't think this is anything to worry about. The new processing model will use all offices in the processing network to be able to clear cases. So, it probably means that the AB offices are inundated and required backup. Passing files between Processing Centres and local offices do happen in the normal course of business for CIC. So, try not to let it bother you, unless they send you a letter regarding it.

And nothing since, I call CIC every 2 weeks and all I hear is that I'm within normal processing time. I'm waiting for my 3rd set of notes and in March going to contact our MP to see what is taking so long with my application.
Agreed, waiting is the worst, I couldn't imagine that it would be so hard

They requested marriage certificate, divorce certificate of previous marriage, birth certificate of the sponsor (we sent those documents with the application for sure, who knows why they needed them one more time. Plus they requested additional proof of the relationship
