3 days left for Landing Interview. Seems like November 2015 all over again when I first submitted my application, checking canada post to see "delivery status" and waiting patiently for the AOR that took almost eternity.

This is indeed a long long wait and hard to comprehend what most of us go through. The wait for me and some of you might be coming to an end but there are others who are just starting their journey I hope the process becomes faster, more transparent, easier and less testing. Our journey was not so straightforward, we've had a lot of documents exchanged between us & cic after we got AOR and before getting SA/AIP. There were times when we lost hope and other times we felt like the time is not moving fast enough just like this week. When I would just wish Friday would come a little faster. I guess its just natural. Purpose of writing this is to give others who are waiting hope, that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and CIC officers are just as humans as we are. There is a right time and place for everything and I am sure those waiting for SA/AIP & DM shouldn't lose hope!

I will report back on Friday after the landing interview :)

When you get your DM letter it will say which office will be contacting you for your landing appointment

Hi everyone.

I am a July 2015 applicant and received SA in December. so SA letter says pay the right of Permanent Residence Fee($490) should be paid as soon as possible. but I also received another refund mail on the same day saying they will refund the Fee($390) since they took $100 for my open work permit which I paid Oct 2015 with separate receipt after I realized I underpaid. The letter said do not pay the fee again until they contact us at a later time. So I've waited for the contact since then, and today I called Call center to verify whether I should pay the Fee again or not now.

An agent gave me confusing answer - "You could pay if you want to or you can just wait until they contact you." I knew I wouldn't get the clear answer but now I'm more confused.
Does anyone have similar situation? It is really frustrating that Mid 2015 applicants aren't still done....

Thanks in advance
It's hard to say when that refund is going to come--assuming you haven't seen it hit your bank account yet? Have you received AIP or DM yet? I know this has happened to others, but they were getting close to their landing appointment and got it paid.

Why March 2016 applicants have their landing letters already?
Most of Aug 2015 applicants are still waiting!
Agreed. I would like to ask CIC how their system works, why it is so random. I pretty much stopped reading this forum as I can't see how December 2015 and Jan-mar 2016 applicants get their DM and landing interviews and I'm June 2015 and still nothing, not even OWP

This is frustrating as it is totally unfair. And when we call CIC, they always say that the processing time is 26 months... which we all know is not true, and we should just wait...

No, no SA or AIP. I got a request for additional proof back in October 2016, and medical in October too. That's it,
GCMS notes seem fine, MP contacted them and he said all looked fine, just to wait. I call CIC every 2 weeks, the response is "it's 26 months, please wait"

Unfortunately anytime there is a request...especially extra proof of relationship ...it causes delays.

Other delays can be if a person has dependents, complicated medical or background check. Some countries also take longer to have background checks verified.

you are right, it's showing on my ecas its decision made, however i didnt get my emails or letter yet of that decision made. i called cic yesterday and ask about that decision made, they just told me, you have to wait til Oct 2017 ( that's my 26th month ) to call back again.. these cic agents are RUDE!!!! so i will just have to wait then, its very frustrating... :(

True, but medicals and background checks are the second stage of processing, therefore it should not affect the processing time for SA and AIP.
