Forget your visa, forget your visa expiration date, it's nothing to do with your visa now.
Look at your entry stamp, read that date inside the stamp, tell us what it shows.
It shows nothing just canada entry and date of entry March 11 2015

AIP = Approval in Principle .... This is followed by a DM = Decision Made

Hello Ma'am and Sir,

Good morning!

I have two questions for all of you here. Hope you can enlighten me, i am really confused.

My inland spouse application together with my Open Work permit was received by CPC-mississauga this Monday, May 16,2016. I saw it on the tracking number that it was already received. My duration of stay as a tourist will end on June 1, 2016.

1. My question is did i get an implied status? will it affect my OWP or no problem with my OWP that im going to received after 4 months?

I am planning to extend my stay as a tourist to be sure since my duration of stay will end on june 1, 2016. I will be submitting my tourist visa extension tomorrow. My tourist visa validity will expire on July 16, 2016.

to be clear. - Duration of stay allowed in canada will end on june 1, 2016
- Tourist Multiple entry Visa validity will expire on July 16, 2016.

2. My question is can i extend for another 6 months even though my visa is valid up to july 16, 2016?
or just an extension from June 2, 2016 up to July 16, 2016?

Just wondering what dates do i put on the IMM 5708 on page 3 question number 2. "Indicate how long you plan to stay"

I want to put 6 months, if that's possible.

Please help guys, thank you.

Hi All !

I just landed yesterday at Etobicoke Office. It was more of a formality than an interview (if we are still living together, if I committed crime or ever denied entry etc..)

The wait was longer than the landing. Good luck to everyone out there!

My timeline:
Submitted: 2/17/2015
AOR (3) : 4/22/2016, 4/30/2015, 5/8/2015
S.A, AIP, DM: 4/17/2016
Landing: May 17, 2016

OWP: Submitted 2/17/2016 (did not receive as yet)

Just wondering if anyone knows if I can withdraw my OWP application and get the $255 refunded?

Thanks!

It is starting to bug me that almost all of Sept has got AIP and they've abandoned the first half of the year. I am hoping they don't go straight to October and instead pick up from the end of Feb - August. :o :(

The OWP stuff sounds crazy....I think, the refund may be claimed since you have the receipts and the application was never processed.

You can certainly try, but it's quite possible that your OWP processing has already started (it's been 3 months).

I know the random processing makes everybody anxious. Also, it feels a bit good to see the percentage of AIP, DM go up everyday ( although just 1%) for 2015 applicants.

I am an April'2016 applicant. Prepared for a long wait, unless IRCC actually intensifies it's pace of processing as promised.

Oh dear! It is NOT "nothing", the March 11 2015 is EXACTLY what CIC want to see!

This March 11 2015 determines your status valid till September 10 2015 (6 months from entry date).

If you submit your OWP before Sep 10 2015 (I remember you submitted in August) then you are eligible for implied status, but you have to ensure your OWP application won't get returned.

Yesterday I made my lawyer call at that time they said that it's under process and we have sent the proof saying that I was on status at that time.
And when they told me about the status issue they said they r going to sent a mail which says about it, but that mail says nothing something about a signature about my PR which was already sorted. I don't know what's happening...

I have my interview scheduled for Friday May 20th, so two days left and I get really anxious now about the process. I might read to much online and some articles really scare me since they tell you to do a huge preparation for the interview and so on... I wasn't scared until I read them.

I actually think this interview should be no problem since we have been together for almost 6 years now and I don't know how our relationship could be doubted. My stress level is still rising the closer it gets to the actual date since this means so much. Would you (or any other member that went through the interview) mind going through the whole interview process in detail?

Maybe that will calm my stress level down. I can't even tell my wife otherwise she will freak out, she is way to easily stressed :o haha ;D

I hope the same! I am also a July applicant. Its always frustrating seeing how CIC work.
Lets cross fingers!

Don't worry! Do you know why they may have asked for an interview? Do you have any red flags (big age difference, different religions, stuff like that)? I'm sure you'll be fine. If I was in your position I would be stressed too - but your relationship is genuine, you will be just fine! There is a thread by Hasan9999 with a bunch of information about the interview process - what sort of questions they ask, what they're looking for, etc. It might help ease your mind!
