We mailed our application on December 30th, 2015 and it was received on January 4th, 2016 according to Canada Post. Have yet to receive an AOR and nothing shows up in the online system to check application status - using the IMM5401 receipt number I have.

What are my next steps? Do we just continue waiting or is there another way to ensure something is being done with our application?

Thanks!

I applied back in May 2015 and still can't pull up ecas using the receipt number. That said, I can if I use my UCI. If you happen to have a UCI from an existing or previous visit/work permit, give that a go.

Hello to All

What are those important things i need to take care in terms of paper works/proofs/other supporting documents before i apply for my spouse inland ? She will be joining me by end of aug-16 and she is having visiting visa.

I would be happy if i will be given any heads up now to prepare my file solid so there will be no room of rejection or objections from CIC.

Thanks in advance

Mak

Hello INLAND forum friends,

I received my open work permit and AIP today, It did not happen magically in my mail box I had to stand for my rights. I contacted PM justin trudeau. CIC officer did not look into my file properply. So life_life sit back and relax and send them your update status in the mail to mississauga and through case specify inquiry 4 to 5 times atleast.Good luck
how did you contacrt PM Justin Trudeau?

Hello Makpan,
First of all, is she your fiancé or your spouse? If you are already married, make sure she doesn't lie on her visitor visa application that she is not married.

In terms of proof, here is what I had submitted for my wife:
1. Marriage Certificate
2. Bank statements for our joint account ( she was here on a study permit and then work permit)
3. Copy of my pension statement (Added her as a beneficiary on my pension plan)
4. Pictures of our honeymoon; itinerary; flight tickets etc.
5. Pictures of any family get-togethers before and after marriage
6. You can submit reference letters from people who know you both and can attest to your relationship.

Hope this helps.

It seems it has been more than 4 months since you sent in your application. You can contact your local Member of Parliament so they can inquire about the AOR and also the work-permit if you sent one. You can contact the call-centre ( not always helpful) at 1-888-242-2100 and ask them about your file.

Did any August 2015 applicant got SA?

It looks like September applicants are getting SA/AIP

Not really .. where did you get that information?
On inland processing sheet here on forum it looks like they're working on March-2015 applications.

If you scroll down the sheet further you can see a number of people from September have reached AIP/SA. Which is odd considering, but I'm sure they aren't complaining!

Wow ,they're super fast ! I was checking March applicants on the sheet every day. :-X
If they don't slow down ,they're gonna complete all 2015 applications in next few months , lol. ;D
