29% of people gets DM within 2 weeks from AIP (and so far, 27% for 2016)
Otherwise, median is 56 days and average is 85 days. So 6 months was indeed quite long!

regarding the landing, Etobicoke and Montreal are the slowest (busiest) offices. We are at a bit more than 6 weeks after DM, and still no appointment to land in Montreal. But, for sure, our waiting is almost finished!

Good luck, and thanks for the valuable information

My application received in 31st July 2015, AIP is my most recent status 26th April

I am applying from Calgary... hopefully is not long left to wait

I did not see too many people posting about Calgary, but if I remember well, people land within 3 weeks after DM.
I wish you to get your DM as soon as possible!

Just curious . . . do the offices call for interview based on the order of DM dates or application date?

I don't know, but my guess would be that they go in the order the local office receives them. They normally receive your application when you get DM.

I am in Calgary. After getting decision made, I had my landing 3 weeks later.

Anyone applying in 2015 with a criminal record and applying for rehabilitation? Curious of timelines.

Landing process was quiet easy and short, less than 10mins. They didn't even check sponsor IDs.

Good luck to all still waiting... <3

Hello all experts and people with recent OWP applications

Due to pregnancy my spouse medical is delayed and result in PR application delayed. Her OWP is expiring within three months. Please suggest me options ?

Should I do nothing and wait for my application to be processed ?

Or

Apply for another OWP ?
Also, Are we still eligible to apply for another OWP. if eligible, which method should we choose , online or paper based ?
Also , do we need to add 100$ OWP holder fee on top of $255 fee ?

Please reply.

Thanks,

You can not let her OWP expire and do nothing. Keeping a legal status is very important. I think you can apply for "extend my stay" through CIC, if she has a visitor visa to Canada.
waiting for other's replay.

I agree with berylia, you should not let her status expire. You probably could apply either to extend her visitor status (if she is not working) or to extend the OWP. I don't know at all regarding the cost, we didn't apply for the OWP, my wife is on a student visa. Hopefully, someone will be able to provide you a more complete answer.

Don't let your status expire. Before the expiration of your current OWP, apply to renew it. By applying before your current OWP expires, you will be on implied status from the time this one expires until CIC make a decision on your renewal (by doing this, you will not need to stop working during the renewal procedures).

And if you happen to land before they issue your renewal, you can withdraw your renewal application and get the fees reimbursed.

You got AIP almost a full year ago... I don't know what is taking them so long to take their decision... have you tried calling them to ask if there is anything missing in your application? Or maybe it's time for you to contact your MP and ask him her if they can figure out why CIC hasn't reached a decision yet.

I hope you get the good news very soon!

We didn't apply for an OWP for my wife, so I'm not sure about the renewal processing time.
