We are not allowed to apply online before the AIP, only on paper. And there is a different address than the "regular" OWP applications, so I'm not sure if we will be going by the same timeline. We will see.
You made a good point about the online option. They have no choice but to mail it in since they have reached AIP stage yet.

Guys,

Do you think, was there any progress of meeting on March 1 at Ottawa? I guess it would have been better, had the event was organized on weekdays.. For people like us, who cant work there should'nt be an issue coming on weekdays..
Suggest.

Can anybody please advise on this:
I have applied for PR through spousal program - inland on Jan 14 2015. I sent my application through post but haven't heard anything as yet. Is there a way to know if my application was received by CIC. And what time can I expect my application to be processed based on average times. Thank you.

Manish.

Honestly, if you are applying inland, kindly think twice... Inland route is where we are stuck in too. I dont wish to discourage you, but hopefully you have thought twice before applying.. As per timeline is concerned, it might take months before you hear something from CIC. I remember in my case, took 3 months to get AOR. Also do apply for work permit along with inland application...

There has been huge delays from past 1 yr. Now website mentions 2 years wait... No one can comment on CIC timeframe seeing from last year trend... till 2013, people told me it used to take 6 months, which now has tripled.. to 17-18 months.. Honestly, cant comment...only CIC would know that.!!..

We all hope CIC takes us out of this limbo.......and endless wait!!

Thanks for advise, when I started preparing my application it did say 8 months initial processing time and now its 17 months, which is quite annoying.

The impossible has happened. CIC came back from their year-long vacation and decided to process some AIPs!
For the first time in over a year they have processed more than a week of applications in a week's time!
14 days in one week, or processing 2 days per day elapsed, hopefully this isn't a fluke.

Trending their progress over 1 year we get some much nicer numbers. April 1 applicants should be processed by May 2016.

Going with only a 6 month trend see April 1 applicants being processed as soon as December 2015. Fingers crossed!

In both the above cases the linear trend predicts much worse processing times, October and February 2017 respectively.

These numbers are thanks to the only dip in processing times we've seen since last March.

It's notable that the last dip was around this time of year... hopefully that's just coincidence.

Hi all,
It would be great to track the progress of the issuance of the OWPs, especially the ones after Dec 22, but for me it looks like that the FB group's tracking sheet is not so up to date. I'd like to encourage everyone to share the exact date you applied and/or received your OWP either here, or in a private message.
Thanks
agree with this... we've sent out the OWP application mid jan, haven't heard anything back yet...

I don't have you on the spreadsheet, but I can add you if you can send me your exact dates

Date Application Received according to CIC
Date AOR email Received
OWP sent (w/ application?)

And if you don't mind to share:
Country of Origin
Canadian City of Residence
Medical done (w/ application?)
Police check done (w/ application?)

Since its March now, many of us dont have any Tax no like SIN, ITN. Since we would be filing taxes.. Any idea do we first apply for ITN number if we dont have SIN? and then later file Taxes??
Suggest.

Hey guys! Is it weird that my inland sponsorship application was transferred to Mississauga?...
In March, 2014 every file that was received after May, 2013 was transferred to Mississauga.
