I understand what you're saying but where does it say that you must choose a Canadian VO? I feel like I read that instruction guide so many times and nowhere does it say anything about not being able to select a non-Canadian VO if applying from within Canada. I assume my application will be making its way back to me in a few months when they decide to open it.
I'm in Canada on a valid work permit so would travelling outside Canada still affect me?

No matter what you write in that field, they will send it to the correct office. The only time it makes a difference is if you could qualify for more than one office - then they usually respect your request, though they may choose not to do so.

You're application won't be returned for that.

Or maybe they won't send AOR anymore.

If that were the case, you would think at least 1 person would have got AIP or DM from CPC-M, but it's been total silence.

I hope not, how can we send additional documents if we don't have File number? Do we need to call the CIC to get it?? Jesshhh I have PCC to send before the it will expire

Im desperate for AOR too since I need to send my PCC and I need my File Number for that... so thay can match it up with my files in the system.

Me and my wife applied for in canada spousal sponsorshio. I sent my file on february 3, 2014 to in canada sponsorship office missisuaga. I didnt get any notification from them. My visa will expire on september 30, 2014. Plz give me information in how much time i can get work permit or temporary residency till any decision or pr.

Did u send your Open Work Permit to go with your PR? Then you should have an implied status till you received your AIP (stage 1 process)

No i didnt send any open work permit application yet. Right now i have only study visa and study permit. On feb 3, 2014 i just sent sponser application for pr in spouse sponsor categorie.

You can send later on...after you received the Acknowledgement of receipt and you will know your file number. Just put on the Cover that don't process till AIP approved...

You have to put the File number on your cover letter, so they will match up the application from the rest of your files in CIC..

I will say few months before your Student Visa expires.

So, i have to wait for letter from imigration. In case if i didnt get any letter, file number or any status from imigration and my visa expire so what i can do to, i can extend my visa on the bases of my case or what. Im confused!

You can call the CIC next month, so you will know your file number...They're transferring files from Vegreville to Mississauga , so there must be a delays for giving an AOR..

I don't think it's that they're not following the protocol, I think it's just that they literally haven't touched any of the applications. Perhaps after all the apps have been sent from CPC-V they will start processing them.

could be the case. am sure many have noticed that they are processing applications till june 25, 2013 for a month now.
