Was the letter in the regular post or by email? - and was it sent to the Sponsor or the applicant?

THIS LETTER REFERS TO YOUR APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE UNDER THE SPOUSE OR COMMON LAW PARTNER IN CANADA CLASS. THIS IS TO ADVISE YOU THAT YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO THE CPC-M, AS THAT OFFICE IS NOW DESIGNATED PROCESSING CENTRE FOR YOUR APPLICATION. THE CPC MAY CONTACT YOU TO SEEK ADDITIONAL INFORMATION OR CLARIFICATION. ONCE PROCESSING IS COMPLETE, THAT OFFICE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY MAIL OF THEIR DECISION.

Does anyone know if they are transferring all CPC-V apps to CPC-M, or if it's just random? They haven't progressed at all on the applications it seems in the meantime..

Received mail (snail) just now from CPC-V. Mail was addressed to me, the applicant. Our application has been transferred to CPC-M. Envelope says it was mailed on March 3, 2014.

Our app was received last Dec 2013.
AOR on Jan. 17, 2014.

I was wondering did you get the approval of the extension from CIC yet? I got mine today from CIC (myCIC account) and they are asking me to do the medical exam...meanwhile, I fond there is a letter called "in canada approval leter" which is an IMM5754 form states my visa extension app has been approved and a secure document has been mailed to me...however, the vaildity is showing 2014/07/04 on this letter.....

I have been requiring a one year extension for it since i'm waiting the process of my inland app for PR...i don't know if this is a "temporary" one because I need to sumbit my medical exam report?

does anyone know about this? i hope it doesn't mean i only got 3 months extension...it means almost nothing for me arrrrrrr.... :'(

They received it on Feb 20th, and I haven't heard anything yet, but according to the website they will process it in 60 days (I sent it with regular mail). I found in other topics that they usually give 6 months, but I'm not sure.
You didn't do the medical for the PR? I did it, but send them nothing about it with the extension since they didn't ask for it.
I don't know how could it be that they gave you only 3 (4?) months. It would be a real pain in the ass if we need to apply so frequently (but I have to add, that applying via mail always give you extra 40 days in implied status, and in principle you can apply on the last valid day of your visa, however they ask you to apply 30 days before).

I wonder if the "3 months" extension is common.. as I just received my visitor extension as well - requested 1 year, they only approved for 3 months!

Guys ..I am not agree with u ..I am from Singapore and I applied for my visa extension in last Sept and they issued to me for 1 year ...
I attached my marriage certificate copy , court marriage pictures and invitation cards as a proof with my Visa extension application ..
Guys if u already done ur medical for ur Canada PR application then u can use same medical copy for ur visa extension ...just send them medical report and medical cert copy..
( MEDICAL ALWAYS VALID FOR 1 YEAR).good luck guys
