Any comments on this? ::)
current wait time for stage 2 is 8 months. could receive stage 2 approval earlier or later than that. If you sent ypur medical CIC will eventually update your ecas to read medical results received. That may not happen roght away though, sometimes it takes time for them to update that on ecas.

No.
You need your passport, 2 pictures, the letter you received from the landing office and your sponsor. You can bring mail or id with the sam3 address but we were never asked. The landing appointment is more of a formality and for you to sign the paper for PR. They check your info with you to make sure is correct ask you 3 questions about criminality, dependants and refusal to canada....veru straight forward.

Has the transfer of files from CPC- Vegriville to CPC-Mississauga caused a mix up? It could explain why some files from Feb-March are being ignored...

For those who might know, how do you correct info on COPR. I just noticed my marital status was put as single. Can I just go to Service Canada? I know its a very unacceptable mistake, how could they put it as single when i was sponsored via spousal. I just want all my documents to be consistent.

Hi Shyla36 , congrats again ! , and No , service canada can not fix your COPR , May be try calling 18882422100 , and tell them that you want to set an appointment at cic edmonton to fix your COPR .
When I landed , I noticed a error on my COPR also , and before I initial the 2 copies , the error was in my last entry date , I pointed it out , and the officer told me that that's ok , because what matters is today's date because only that will tell you when you can apply for citizenship ( I think she was lazy to print another 2 COPR copies ) . From stories I heard , errors ( typos ) are very common on COPRs , weird though .

Skyline29 my husband doesn't have status here. He is a failed refugee claimant but has been here 7.5 years because there was a moratorium on removals to Haiti. That lifted December 1... Which has thrown my anxiety through the roof. I am just really needing things to get moving but at this point it feels like it will never happen!!! What about you?

Just wanted to alleviate some of your concerns, if possible. My husband had a refugee hearing in October 2013, and we submitted our sponsorship application the same month, back when estimated wait times were only 7 months. We were notified in March that his refugee claim was rejected, and applied for judicial review. He was denied a second time in November 2014, and CBSA issued a removal order. We had to attend a meeting with CBSA on December 5th and answer questions about finances and our living situation, and my husband was given a 60 day administrative deferral of his removal order. CBSA contacted CIC and requested they expedite our file, as we only had 60 days to receive a decision or he would be removed. They immediately began working on our file, and by Dec 19 we received AIP. We were notified of DM on Jan 13 and have our landing interview in one week.

So in reality, status as a failed refugee may actually speed up the process for you. I really sympathize with your concerns because not only would my husband's deportation break our family, it would also put him in severe danger of persecution.

Best of luck and I hope our story lets you rest a little easier.

we received DM on Jan 13, notified of landing interview on jan 19th. On jan 20tg we got an email saying " we made an error on your file. We must cancel your appointment. We will contact you to reschedule upon review of your file."

A couple of days later a CBSA officer came to our home for a sight check and since neither my husband nor I were home, our landlord talked to them about our relationship, how long we lived there, etc.We heard nothing for a couple weeks, then got an email rescheduling our landing for Feb 16. I was incredibly relieved, until our lawyer advised us to prepare as though we may be questioned regarding our relationship on that date.

Has anyone ever heard of someone being interviewed at this stage? After DM? Or should we simply assume it's a standard landing interview? We will prepare either way but I'd just like to know if there is any precedent of what appears to be a landing interview turning into a relationship interview. It's too much stress not knowing what to expect.

Hi tilikun. Thank you soo much. I saw this form online about amending a record re mistake done on copr. I hope i dont have to go throught that as I dont want to deal with cic for a while. It was just too taxing. I will call cic edmonton soon. Good luck to you!
