I'm still waiting too, DM Jan 15, 2015. London Ontario. No OWP either.

I wonder how other people are managing moving their stuff and restarting
their work/career after the long wait?
I have all my work and job interview clothes in the U.S. still.

Guys I just got a phone call ( no caller I d ) from CIC Edmonton !! They just got my passport today , and just asked me if I want to land tomorrow !! Tomorrow at 9 am will be the day . I'm so happy

Sophiee, you are right. Received my landing letter today via email for next week in edmonton. All the requirements are there too. Wow, that was fast. Goodluck to all!!!!

I guess getting a lawyer is probably the only way anybody is going to take us seriously. My MP hasn't indicated they are willing to take this any further. But who has the money to hire lawyers when they've been in this situation for almost two years? We planned for the 8 months they told us we'd have to wait, not the nearly 23 we've been waiting. This process just seems to be set up to destroy families, not bring them security. I've never been so ashamed of my government. An entire year later, our file is back in Winnipeg where it was first transferred and we'll be hitting the bottom of the pile again. It's a nightmare! Just take a look at the spreadsheet and you'll see me way at the top of the list in a see of pink entries of people who've gotten their PR before we've even been looked at for AIP.

If you are on a low income you can try to find organizations who provide legal help on a reduced price. Just go to whatever organization you can find and usually they can help you to find an other that fits you best.

Congrats to all the good news here! Still waiting on our landing date from Vancouver. Others were getting theirs from Van within a week so I guess I got a bit optimistic that mine would come that quick as well. Still waiting so hopefully in the next few days we will get our date

Mine is also from Vancouver. Received DM on 21st. Waiting on my landing date as wel.

Thank you all of you guys !! It finally happened today ! And I also got my permanent SIN with just COPR( which doesn't show any condition on it , our child was born 2 months after we filed the app ) . Pretty simple not too much ceremony or anything , 4 questions : have you ever commit a crime ?
Have you ever been deported from canada ?
Have you ever been asked to leave canada ?
Do you have have any dependant other then you child present here ?
Initial here and there and signature and off we went ! I still can't believe it , but thank God it happened , wish you all of you a speedy and smooth process , God bless us all .

Thank you tilikun. Am gonna have my photo taken in canada place as hankbuster suggested. Also, do we have to bring all the visas (owp and visitor) both are still valid, with me? It didnt mention but i read before that these should be brought?
