Hello and congrats! Would you know how long it will take before you get the OWP?
I also received the approval letter and the statement saying the OWP is being processed.
Thanks!

Thanks Fishbone,

We didn't actually receive any statement about OWP being processed... however when we spoke with the Call Centre they advised us it would be 1-2 weeks until we received the OWP.

What does your statement about OWP look like? Was it part of the AIP letter for the applicant? We are still awaiting the sponsor's AIP letter, maybe it is in there...

Either way we paid the OWP fee and sent it along with our original application, here's hoping it arrives sooner rather than later!

Good luck to you.

Please ask Chris Alexander questions on Twitter using #AskAlexander. Also let's ensure we are using the hashtag for inland questions -- #InlandSponsor

I just started a separate thread for anyone who wishes to share and contribute the letters they have sent to their MP.

I know we have a bunch of good ones buried here in our Inland 2013 thread, but they are not the easiest to find.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/share-your-letters-to-mps-samples-t246688.0.html

This is in hopes that if others have an easy template to use, more ppl will come forward and contact their MPs. The more pressure: the more action. (In theory)

Thanks to anyone who wishes to share! :)

My letter is a little outdated but I still shared it in the thread.

There were loads of people tweeting him but the majority seemed to be #InlandSponsor s. He decided to ignore the wave of questions we sent him and proceeded to answer questions that suited him. He blamed the Liberals a lot for delays.

He did answer a couple but seemed to change the Inland questions into Outland answers. Obviously avoiding the issue.

All questions he answered can be seen here: twitter.bumebox.com/qa/

The statement is below. Yes, it is part of the letter sent to the applicant (not the sponsor).
"Decision on Your Work Permit Application

Your work permit application is being processed. Your new document(s) will be sent to you separately. "

Yes, definitely hoping to receive the OWP by next week, fingers crossed. Good luck to us and kindly keep me posted once you receive yours, likewise, I'll be doing the same. Thanks and congrats again!

I wondering if somebody already heard something in the news about this situation of the twitters?? Would be great to heard something in the news or let them know.

Can anyone help?

I'm a little confused about ordering GCSM notes.
I'm filling it in for my paperwork-allergic hubby online. My AOR is late Sept 2013.

" Are you requesting information on your own behalf?" Is this a yes answer? Do I then do another request for information on me and thus a no answer?

I think it's enough if you request it once (I don't know if there is a difference in the notes depending on if the sponsor or the applicant request it). Either way, it's free if you are doing on your behalf and under the Privacy Act.

I really can't believe what have just happened to me.
I made new topic on this forum to send CIC minister Pink Ice cream ,Sarcastically... Guess what the moderator deleted my topic. :-X
I created another topic to complain about deleting my previous topic named it " My topic was deleted" and for the second time in row my second topic was deleted :o.
Now I am just writing this to share what happen with everybody... I don't know how the moderators will react to my post this time... this behavior just remind me of the actions of developing countries ones when they shut up anyone says a word against them.
with all my post of today in here& Facebook and Twiter, I am sure my application will never get approved and I will be in a queue for interview which will not take place unless the Librs step the conservative a side. ::)
My actions and I take full responsibility of it.

Twitter wont work on my work computer.

Did he answer any questions directly in response as to why it has increased to 13 months, or why it did not move at all for like 6 weeks???

Well, he answered some questions yes.. but the answers were about his favorite beer and ice cream. ;D

Nothing of the sort. He ignored the majority of our inland questions. The main answer was to blame the Liberals, and that by January the processing time should be 6 months.

Completely useless.

Or when he did answer Inland questions, it didn't even really relate to what was asked. For example:

Q: Did you know Canadians sponsoring foreign spouses feel punished by their Govt for falling in love and marrying a foreigner? #AskAlexander
A: 50K overseas spouses + children apps decided in 2013. 86% approval. Will do more! #AskAlexander

You may be able to see his answers at this link, Twitter or not... http://twitter.bumebox.com/qa/

I tweeted my fingers off today and watched the entire Q&A. It seems like this was just a publicity stunt for Hon. Chris Alexander. He dodged all the questions about inland sponsorship after repeated attempts of many users to ask him about the delays. He was only answering questions regarding the citizenship backlog. He only mentioned once that they processed 50k+ overseas spouses and kids with an 86% approval rate. I am pretty sure he was talking about outland applications.

It was just frustrating to see that he did not give any of us any answers. I really hope that they work on processing more applications. For now it seems that we are just not a priority for them. Hope I am wrong.
