Noone has received stage 1 and stage 2 past july 26th, so I'm not sure what you are referring to. the date that they received your app, august 6th is the date that is important to you.

Trying to understand why others with an AOR after ours are receiving their stage 1 and stage 2.

Does the day the application was filed mean anything? We filed our app on Aug. 5 and received an AOR email on Sep. 4 (saying they received the application on Aug. 6). What date is important for our purposes? Aug. 5? Aug. 6? Sep. 4?

Thanks.

After getting AIP and the same time, and received email transfering your file from local office, what is the average days they will contact you again for interview and finalization of your PR?

Makes me decide if I will apply work permit or not. It's just another fee to pay.

i'm talking about those with AOR on aug. 8 and aug. 15 which have just recently received AIP in this thread. don't get me wrong, i'm very happy for them (!), but i'm just wondering if it's time for me to call CIC or not.

thanks!

Thanks :)

I can't wait to pay off the rest if the permanent resident fee and be all done with this. I am having another docs appointment for my suspected malignant melanoma on Friday, and I sincerely hope it's all benign or an early stage and can be dealt with quickly. I am wanting to travel home for a bit, and I was wondering if travelling home after receiving an email stating they have completed our application? Because if I'm cleared for my health scare, then I'm definitely wanting to go home as soon as in two weeks!

Hope you're doing well Line.a! We haven't heard from you for a couple of months.
Give us all an update when you can.

RRSweet, Ortom. Any good news yet???

CIC goes by the date that the application was RECEIVED not the AOR date. So in your case, August 8th is the date you are waiting for. Since processing times have not passed this date there's no use in calling CIC yet :) . Hopefully your time will come very soon! I'm a Aug 1st applicant, so keeping my fingers crossed.

EDIT: Sorry your signature says Aug 8th, but in your post you said they received it Aug 6th. If that's the case then Aug 6th will be the date you are waiting for CIC to start processing for!

ok, so in your case they received your application on aug. 1, but you only actually received the email from CIC confirming this on aug. 27?

Yes, exactly. The only date that matters for processing times is the date they received the application (Aug 1 my case) so no need to worry about when they sent out the email (AOR date).

I hope you guys, and the rest of the July applicants all hear good news this week! I know it's a lot to ask for, but I'm really hoping they start with August soon! Once they start August apps, I may start doing a little dance. Thankfully I'm at home most of the time, so I won't have to embarrass myself. ;D If nothing else, every time someone asks me about progress on my application, I tell them hopefully by the end of summer we'll have progress. If it goes past that, it will be terrible!

....and DM

CIC Vancouver will contact us for the final appt

Congrats!

Congratulations everyone, I'm very happy things are moving, I'm sure everyone is!!!

That said, don't get me wrong, it's amazing to see a progress, but I don't understand why they working on giving AIP+DM at the same time, in my opinion this might be making the process longer for those waiting for AIP right now.. and maybe the reason just a few applications are done per week.
Anyone knows if this is a new regulation on how to process inland???

I wouldn't care to wait for DM, I think a lot of people just like me needs AIP to be processed as fast as possible, so we can to have health card, driver's license and work permit, to put life back on track.

Interesting theory.
