It is updated, 10 months now ... >:(

sigh.. starting to really wonder if they are doing as much work as they could be. Hard to understand how they could still be stuck on July 8th applications. I truly hope this pace does not continue, but week after week and month after month with nothing, is showing not much progress on their end. Very irritated now .. all I can say is keep your head up guys!

If it's 10 months then I should be getting AIP tomorrow, I don't see that happening hahaha I have a 3 yr PGWP right now, anyone know if I need AIP to change my status to being a student again?

Here's what you can do...

Stop feeling down about something that you have absolutely NO control over right now.

Be grateful that you got your application in when you did, and not a day later, because you're ahead of all the other people that applied AFTER you did!

This delay is annoying, but we have to `rise above' this and move on with our lives! Find something to occupy your time...maybe learn how to play an instrument, or start exercising OUTSIDE and see how quickly you feel better!

Folks,

Please join me in signing this petition to demand CIC to improve processing time for inland spousal sponsorship and grant sponsored spouses Open Work Permit upon Acknowledgement of Receipt instead of AIP.

http://www.change.org/en-CA/petitions/citizenship-and-immigration-canada-improve-processing-time-for-inland-spousal-sponsorship-and-grant-open-work-permit-upon-aor?utm_source=guides&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=petition_created

The result of this petition will be forwarded to the Minister and Director responsible for Immigration branch of CIC operations, as well as immigration media reporters. The more you spread this, the sooner we can reach the required number of signatures. So please help if we agree on this.

Thank you,

Signed !!

Thank you. If possible, please also share your comments about the delay on the petition page so CBC can have an idea how severe this has damaged our lives.

signed the petition and also fired off an email to my MP and the Minister for Immigration expressing our distress over this processing queue.
