Dear friends and strangers,

Today we had our interview and received our COPR. This has been the longest year of my life (as well as the most forceful sabbatical I had to take). The interview wasn't exciting at all (all the very few usual questions), and it now feels more like a stroke of anti-climactic closure. I am, however, happy that I can finally move on with my life plans.

So there we go, good bye and good luck to you all. You have all been wonderful.

Hello Maddy,

Congratulations on becoming a PR!! Wonderful news :).

Where did you land? (Just for the sake of keeping the spreadsheet complete).

HELLO! CONGRATULATIONS!! :) THE LONG WAITING ROAD IS FINALLY OVER FOR YOU!
so you were saying, you went to the USA? Are you a USA citizen? or have a green card or something?
Hubby and I will love to get a weekend in Vermont once I get COPR or PR card.. but im not from a visa waiver country and I dont hold a USA visa.. anyone knows if a Canadian PR is allowed to go to USA for turism a couple of days?

Thanks guys! Hope my turn is soon...I got DM on feb 28th and still waiting for landing date :(

Good luck and God bless!

If you are not from a visa-waiver country, you will need a tourist visa for the US. Even after you get your PR. Only the US Green Card holders can cross into CANADA without a visa even if they are originally from a non-visa waiver country.
It's a one-way thing. CPB will not let you cross into the US without a visa visa.
