Is this DM? i thought i got a letter stating DM not an email? My Ecas account still says in progress......?

Congrats for DM, you will get a letter(most cases) for landing interview.

Interesting I wonder why it would be different for people from visa exempt countries?

They require a visa stamp to approve for the SIN since, visa exempt applicants don't need a visa in the first place, they get SIN right away. Weird logic they have!!

We couldn't be happier right now! I decided to go hand in resumes this morning and end up getting a job right away! Can't believe it, so happy to be back and earning money, get out of the house and have a solid routine!

Still need my meds done by March 15th and then hopefully be all done as soon as possible!

I was wondering, how commun is to get a negative DM inland?, plus, Are negative DM and positive DM letters the same?
Lets take @confused1 dm letter, for example, requiring to pay the 490$ landing fee, would a negative dm letter state the same only to rejet
you after?...

Am I wrong or is @confused1 the first one getting DM so fast after an AIP requering medicals? (He got aip on jan 29th and did medicals feb 4th, getting DM this week....) Should I be worried? I got aip on jan 7th and did medicals jan 9th (confirmed arrival with telecenter on jan 15th)

Please, can someone answer this? Waiting is a nightmare...
Are we all gonna get transfer to CPC-M? why are some been transfered from vegreville?

Guys I called CIC last night too see if they received my medicals and the agent did inform me they received it and that all family sponsorship application were transferred to CIC-M also Guri Guri Guri Congratulation Opening the door for the rest of us to follow. Don't leave us now

We're actually in Quebec, just across the river from Ottawa...so unfortunately even after Canadian immigration gets all their stuff straightened out, it still has to go through Quebec before it's all finalized. I actually didn't renew my visitor visa after I had it extended the first time, because we were planning on getting married and our lawyer told us after we put in the application we wouldn't have to worry about extending it anymore. I'm really wishing we had now, just so there may be a chance I'd be eligible. My husband said he'll call again and check tomorrow, but we were under the impression that I wasn't eligible for anything until my application went through.

Unfortunately, you have to wait till AIP to ask for your RAM. When you get AIP, you will send CIC letter + CSQ and wait for 3 months.
Hey, we are 'neighbours' lol. Wondering if we will landing here or in Montreal. Never hear about anybody landing in this area.

Thanks, a positive DM letter will start with "We are pleased to advise..."
Second stage varies from case to case, some have only medicals left to be approved, while others have background/security checks still going on.
