Leoundesilva, I'm not entirely sure if you will need fingerprints if you submitted your file before the fingerprints for your country were put into effect. If I were in your situation, I would be proactive about it and send them in anyway in anticipation that they may ask.

If they do require them, it will help to keep your application moving if they have them before hand.

You can also call CIC and ask the same question, they may be able to look and see if there are any notes on your file indication that the VO will be asking for fingerprints.

Thank you Mrs_Canuck, calling CIC would be a good idea just that this forum tend to provide more accurate information than some guys at call center. I said this because if this case is applicable to me, they will end up telling me to wait until am asked to send it, which is what I am trying to avoid.

CIC will usually accept pieces of information before hand as well. I know of cases where the fingerprints were sent ahead of time with the application. You can also order GCMS notes to see if there are any notes on your file pertaining to fingerprint requests.

I haven't heard anything yet, but I can't wait to hear it when you guys get news! I did my medical yesterday...I wonder if it will get to CIC before I get AIP?! I don't care...ether way, I'll be so happy!

Still waiting, MisterBob....can barely contain my excitement!!! I do not know how to stop refreshing my inbox.

We got AIP just now! AOR April 25th, so lagging behind a little.

I will call them today and ask as you suggested though I got AOR last week of September, it's very possible that they will tell me that it's too early to ask or order for notes.

Oh my goodness, I received my OWP in the mail today. I haven't worked for 2 years!!! Im so excited YAY YAY YAY!!!! ;D

I havent heard anything from them yet. I am only able to check ecas for my wife. I am the sponsor. It still says application recd ..Hope all of us will get it soon.

I just went out from out to check my email at Timhortons wifi. I received a letter from cic and it says" you have met the requirement for eligibility as a sponsor and i will hear from the office shortly". I guess this is the AIP? Tell me what do i need to do now?

You're the first of the June applicants to get the great news! Congratulations! I am so happy for you!

Did you send medical and police check with your application? If so, just wait for the next email from CIC. If not, you'll have to get your medical exam and police check. It should say in the email if they require you to send anything more.
